On the teacher side of PS, I can see a student's total points earned.
But our students can't see this on their accounts. At the end of a marking period, they have to get a calculator and add everything up (and update as one or two last assignments are added). I wish they could spend that time doing something more productive. Is there a way to let students view this from a student login?
Hello,
But our students can’t see this information on their accounts. At the end of each marking period, they have to manually calculate their grades by adding everything up themselves, often using a calculator and updating their totals as new assignments are added.
Why on Earth are you just reposting the OPs text?
@kzielen To answer your question, no. But PT Pro is incapable of making mathematical errors, so student's really don't have to calculate their own grade. You could print out the Individual Student Report, but PT Pro still has no way to send those out from the gradebook.
Thanks @JeffG9! It's less about kids thinking it's a mistake and more of the kids saying, "if I have an 89% because I have earned 331 of 371 points... and I know I have a 50 point quiz coming up. Can I get a 90% and what would I need to get that 90%"
I'd rather they spend 5 minutes preparing than adding up all the Points Earned and Points Possible. It's not currently a setting that can be toggled for students - but it sounds like an easy feature to add since it already shows on the teacher side. I'll add a feature request to the Ideas section.
